Homemade Cleaning Products - "The Green Clean Book" review

Always looking for ways I can become greener and do my part I stumbled across the ebook "The Green Clean Book". I already knew that many household chemicals out there are really dangerous, but I didn't realize how dangerous until I started doing my research. Convinced that I should find a better way to clean, I decided to check out this ebook. Since the book advertised information on homemade cleaning products, helpful tips for cleaning various parts of your home the green way and even some health and beauty options. I decided to give the book a read.

Already into the green lifestyle myself, I was immediately impressed with the book, especially as it showed the importance of using products that are organic or at least chosing non toxic cleaning produts.

One of the main things I liked is the great list of safe ingredients that you can easily find in your home to create homemade cleaning products that make both non toxic cleaning products and environmentally friendly cleaning products.  They're not always the same thing!

If you can combine both they are not harmful to your health or to the environment. These ingredients were found on pages 5-9, there is a huge list and many of the tings on the list I found right in my home already. I Didn't have to go out with a big shopping list to find them.

Being a busy mom, I also loved some of the cleaning tips that they gave as well. There were tips that helped me learn how to green clean everything from baking dishes, to the coffee maker, to kitchen surfaces, glasses, and drains. All these great tips and ideas make it easier for me to go green in my household.

Some people think that they don't have time to go green or the money to do things the green way, but with these tips, going green has become quick, easy, and cost effective for me and my family.

One of my most hated chores is cleaning the stove and oven. It has always seemed to take me forever, not to mention those horrible cleaners for the stove that about cut off your breathing and make your eyes water. Finally I found lots of green ways to do this on page 18 using homemade cleaning products. It is now easy to clean my stove and oven without about passing out from cleaner fumes.

Plenty of great recipes were included for homemade cleaning products as well so you can make your own environmentally friendly cleaning products without having to guess about it. From dishwasher liquid to scrubbing cleaners there are many great recipes for non toxic cleaning products that I now use in my home and they all include cheap and easy to find ingredients.

Cleaning the bathroom was another of my dreaded chores which means I love the chapter starting on page 22 of the book.  It's all about cleaning bathrooms! Easy tips are offered, great recipes for cleaners and all the ideas are green not to mention making it all easier for you.

Now I don't mind cleaning my bathroom quite as much, although toilets still aren't my thing. I do wish the book would've actually given a few more options for cleaning the toilet, but otherwise this was one of my favorite sections in the ebook.

This is definitely an ebook I'd recommend. The Green Clean Book has not only helped me and my family create homemade cleaning products but also learn about more ways to go green. It's helped making cleaning easier and cheaper for me, something any mom can appreciate!
